Holding Hands Versus Shaking Hands   Leave a comment

Many students do not know the difference between the phrases “holding hands” and “shaking hands”.  Most use “shaking hands” only, but this would confuse a native speaker in conversation.

Shaking hands is what you do when you first meet someone:

 

 

 

 

Holding hands is what loving couples do:
